AI Chatbot Features for Magento
1.
Automatic setup. Enter your public store URL. The chatbot uses accessible content to build its initial knowledge and suggest a role and tone of voice.
2.
Answers from your content. Use product pages, buying guides, policies, uploaded files, and custom Q&A to answer shopping questions.
3.
Conversation rules. Define how the chatbot helps shoppers compare options, explains your offer, and responds when a question needs your team.
4.
Flexible appearance. Match the chatbot’s colors, name, and avatar to your storefront. Add a greeting and suggested questions that fit your customers.
5.
Multilingual conversations. Help customers ask questions and understand your offer in their language.
Train Your AI Chatbot on Store Content
Build answers from the information you already provide to shoppers. Add public Magento page URLs, upload product guides, and write custom Q&A for questions your store pages do not cover.
Product pages — Published features, specifications, materials, and intended uses.
Buying and size guides — How options compare and what customers should consider.
Delivery and returns pages — Shipping terms, return conditions, and how to request help.
Store and contact pages — Business details, locations, opening hours, and contact options.
Files and custom Q&A — Compatibility guidance, care instructions, and other product details.
Add up to 200 web page URLs. For larger Magento catalogs, prioritize the products and guides that answer common questions. Use Retrain after updating a source page, and add new URLs when needed. Website training does not provide a live catalog or inventory connection.
Move from a shopping question to a useful next step.
Guide product selection — Help shoppers compare products using the details in your knowledge base. Offer a relevant product link so they can review the item and continue shopping in your Magento store.
Capture a sales inquiry — Collect a name, email, or phone number when someone needs a quote, bulk order information, or personal advice. Keep those details with the conversation for follow-up.
Book a consultation — Connect Calendly or Cal.com so shoppers can schedule a product consultation or service appointment directly in the chat.
Offer human contact — Share email, phone, or WhatsApp contact when your team needs to check an order, confirm a detail, or handle a special request.
Follow up during a visit — Send a message after a period of inactivity to ask whether the shopper needs more information or help choosing an option.
Match your Magento storefront with custom colors, a recognizable name and avatar, and a greeting and suggested questions such as “Help me choose” or “What is your returns policy?” Choose a floating chat bubble for easy access while browsing or an embedded chat window on a help or buying guide page. Preview the design and check its position alongside your store navigation, promotional banners, and mobile controls.
Track AI Chatbot Conversations and Leads
Learn what shoppers need before they place an order or contact your team.
Conversations — Review chat histories and summaries to understand buying questions.
Leads — Find submitted contact details alongside the inquiry for more informed follow-up.
Analytics — Track chat sessions, messages, and collected leads in the dashboard.
Use knowledge gaps to identify missing product or policy information, then improve the answers your chatbot can provide.
How to Add an AI Chatbot to Magento 2
Follow this quick guide to install the chatbot on a content page or across a store view. These steps cover a standard Magento 2 storefront. If you need help, our support team offers free installation.
Embed the chatbot on a content page
1.
Choose an embedded chat window and set up your chatbot.
2.
When you complete the customization, copy its installation code from the dashboard.
3.
Go to Content → Elements → Pages and edit the page.
4.
In Page Builder, add an HTML Code element and paste the installation code into its settings.
5.
Save the element and page, refresh the relevant cache if prompted, and test the live page.
Add a floating chatbot to a store view
1.
Go to Content → Design → Configuration and edit the intended store view.
2.
Under Other Settings → Footer, add the installation code to Miscellaneous HTML.
3.
Save the configuration, refresh the relevant cache, and check the storefront.
Tip: Custom and headless storefronts may need a different installation method. Your developer or our support team can help check the theme, store view, and script permissions.
One widget, one snippet. Squarespace, Wix, WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, GoDaddy, Elementor, or plain HTML — pick another platform to see how it installs there.
This setup uses an embed widget, so you do not need to install a dedicated Magento chatbot extension. Create and manage the chatbot in the AI Chatbot dashboard, then add its code to your storefront. Store administration, orders, and catalog management remain in Magento.
Yes, the free plan includes one chatbot, 50 visitor messages per month, and 200 monthly widget views. There is no time limit or credit card required. Configure the chatbot and test common shopping questions before adding it to your store.
It can help shoppers compare options and suggest relevant products based on their questions and the product information you provide. Add useful product details and links to support those conversations. This is conversational product guidance; it does not automatically use Magento purchase history, live stock, or customer-specific pricing.
The standard embed does not access private Magento order data or process refunds and returns. It can explain your published policies and direct customers to an order page, return form, or support contact. Order-specific actions require a separate integration whose requirements must be assessed.
Configure installation for each intended store view and test where the widget appears. The same chatbot can be used where the offer and policies are shared. If store views have different prices, delivery rules, or product ranges, use a separate chatbot for each distinct set of information and check your plan’s chatbot limit.
