Short answer: who each one is for
Tidio is a support platform. You get a shared inbox, live chat with your team, ticketing, and Lyro answering the easy questions in front of it. If people on your side are going to pick up conversations, that is what it is built for.
AI Chatbot is for the other case: nobody is picking anything up. There is no inbox, because the premise is that you are not sitting in one. The agent has to finish the conversation on its own, and when it cannot, it hands the visitor your contact details rather than putting them in a queue.
Rough rule: if you have staff on chat, Tidio. If it is you and nobody else, us.

Where Tidio is the better choice
Tidio wins if any of this is true:
- Somebody on your side will be answering chats
- You want conversations to become tickets a team works through
- You want live chat and the bot in one product
- You are on Shopify and want the deep order-level integration
We are not going to argue with any of that. It is a bigger product and it is built for a bigger operation.
Where we are the better choice
Pick us if this is closer:
- Nobody is going to sit in a chat window, and you do not want to pretend otherwise
- You want it running the same day, without building conversation flows
- You care what it looks like on your site — this is where Tidio users most often complain and where we are strongest
- You want one predictable monthly price with no per-seat and no per-resolution charge
- You want the chatbot to tell you what it could not answer, rather than quietly getting it wrong
