What you do not get
Two things are worth knowing before you start.
Messages are counted monthly. If your chatbot has a busy month and runs out, it pauses until the next cycle unless you upgrade. We tell you before that happens.
On the free plan a small "Powered by Elfsight" line sits at the bottom of the chat window. Paid plans remove it.
Free forever, not a trial
Most free chatbots for websites are trials. You get fourteen days, then a card screen.
Ours is not. There is no end date, no card at sign-up, and no feature that quietly switches off after a fortnight. If the allowance suits your traffic, you can stay on it indefinitely — plenty of people do.
Set it up without a card
Three steps, and only the first one needs anything from you.
- Paste your website address. The agent reads your pages and works out what your business does, what it should answer and how it should sound.
- Look over what it wrote about itself. Change the role, the tone or the greeting if you disagree. Or leave it.
- Copy the code and paste it into your site. On Wix, WordPress, Squarespace, Webflow, Shopify and most builders this is one paste into a settings field.

When you will need to upgrade
You will feel the ceiling in one of two ways.
Either your traffic grows and you start running out of messages before the month ends, or you want the branding line gone. Both are the same fix: move up a plan.
Nothing you have built is lost when you do. Your agent, your knowledge, your settings and your chat history all stay exactly as they are.
