Overview

n8n suits teams that would rather keep customer conversations off someone else’s cloud. Run it on your own infrastructure and finished chats trigger workflows without the data leaving your network.

It also handles branching logic: route by what the visitor asked, enrich the contact from an internal API, then write to the CRM only when the result is worth keeping.

What you can do

These are the jobs the integration is built for.

  • Keep conversation data in your own stack

Self-host the workflow engine so transcripts never transit a third-party SaaS.

  • Branch on what the visitor asked

Route enquiries by topic, language or source page before anything is written anywhere.

  • Enrich before you store

Call internal or paid APIs mid-workflow, then push a finished record onward.

Set up

Connection happens inside your AI Chatbot widget. Open the Integrations tab, pick this connector, and follow the steps shown there.

  1. Open your AI Chatbot widget, go to the Integrations tab, choose n8n, and connect it.
  2. Copy the n8n connection token shown there.
  3. In n8n, pick a template or create a workflow. Paste the token when you connect your account in the Elfsight AI Chatbot trigger.

Connected apps and their status are listed in Integrations in your widget, where you can disconnect access at any time.

Requirements

  • An AI Chatbot widget that finishes conversations.
  • A reachable n8n instance — self-hosted or n8n Cloud.

Try it on your own website

Paste your website address and watch it build itself. It reads your pages, works out what your business does and drafts how it should speak — then you can ask it something about your own business and see what it says.
  1. 1. Enter your website
  2. 2. Create AI agent
  3. 3. Add to website
